Data we process. This includes account and profile details, selected countries, cities and languages, requests, questions, answers, helper offers, trips, services, materials, reactions and reports. If a user enables notifications, we also process email and Telegram settings and the browser subscription required for Web Push. Exact contact details and coordinates are not intended for public display without a separate user action.
Sources of data. Most information is provided by the user. Technical data required for security and service operation is generated while the platform is used. Approximate IP-based country detection may be used to suggest a country to a guest; its result is cached for a limited period. The selected country is stored in the browser only after an explicit user action.
Purposes and legal bases. Data is used to create accounts, publish and find content, connect participants, moderate content, prevent fraud, protect the service, send selected notifications and fulfil user requests. Legal bases include performance of the terms of use, legitimate interests in safe platform operation, applicable legal obligations and consent where a feature is optional, such as Web Push, Telegram, public contact details or remembering a selected country.
Recipients. Access is limited to users within the selected public or private workflow, authorised moderators, and infrastructure, email, notification, geocoding and security providers to the extent required for their function. When an external service is used, data may be processed outside the userʼs country subject to safeguards required by law. MyRazom does not sell personal data.
Retention. Account data and published materials are kept while the account or relevant record is active. After account deletion, data is deleted or anonymised subject to technical relationships and applicable obligations. Reports, security logs and moderation records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to prevent abuse, resolve disputes, protect rights and comply with law. Backups are removed through the infrastructure rotation cycle.
Your rights. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, data portability and withdrawal of consent previously given. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before it. Requests can be sent to the privacy address; identity verification may be required to protect the data. A response is normally provided within one month unless the law permits an extension.
You may complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority or another competent supervisory authority. Contacting the operator first is recommended so the issue can be addressed directly. MyRazom does not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means.
